Each year at this time, we select
an individual or team within the student development/student
services areas who has demonstrated outstanding leadership and
service excellence. The Jean Sharon Griffith Student Development
Leadership Award is presented at the college and the District
levels, as tangible recognition of the valuable role student
development professionals play in educating the whole student.
Besides the honor bestowed by this award, the District winner
also receives $500 for a job well done.
Please take a moment to submit a nomination for the 2003-2004
El Centro award. The attached form can provide the guidelines
and elements to consider in nominating a candidate. Your comments
do not need to be elaborate. The selection committee (composed
of previous EC winners) will evaluate all nominations and flesh
out the wording as needed.
