If you looked at your Wii this morning, you might've noticed in the Wii Shop Channel that it has been updated to include Wii Ware titles. This has replaced the normal Monday Virtual Console release. So, if you haven't taken a look, I would suggest doing that right now. These new original titles give developers the chance to branch out and be as original and creative as they like. Pricing for these titles varies and you can check out a list of the titles below straight from the press release.
Gears of War 2 is probably the most anticipated sequel this year, coming this November from Epic Games. With a short introduction from lead designer, Cliff Bleszinski, we are given a brief over-view of what we can expect in the trailer itself. At the Game Developer’s Conference, earlier this year, we were treated to a nice tech-demo explaining the new features that we can expect to see in Gears of War 2. With strides taken in the development of the Unreal Engine 3, Gears of War 2 looks to take what Gears of War did and push it to the next level.
The most exciting news to come out of the weekend is a new trailer showing us debut gameplay for Epic Games' newest sequel to the original Gears of War, Gears of War 2. Thanks to GameTrailers we are given an exclusive look at Gears of War 2. This trailer is also available for download on Xbox Live in the Marketplace. Check back here at GamePlasma for gameplay analysis of this highly anticipated sequel.
Gamecock recently released a hilarious video about the death of E3, which you can check out after the jump. Also:
"Gamecock Media Group today reiterated its intent to mock and take full advantage of the E3 Expo (or, since its death, the Media & Business Summit) each year. Given the recent cancellations by the largest multinational conglomerate and independent game developer invited last year, Mike Wilson, Grand Champeen of Gamecock, has also announced his candidacy for ESA President based on the platform of bringing the fun back to the gaming industry."
Perverted jokes aside, Conspiracy Entertainment has announced plans to distrubute Epicenter Studios' Real Heroes: Firefighters. Firefighters puts players in the shoes of a firefighter and "emphasizes non-violent, game-integral puzzles that mirror the challenges and on-the-fly choices firefights face everyday." The game features propriety technology that will supposedly create fires that are "alive."
